Nate, Jolene & Liberty

Hello, I’m Jolene!

I’m a CEO. I'm the namesake for Jolene’s Law. I’m Liberty’s mama. I also overuse exclamation marks (and caffeine!).

I’m not named after the song by Dolly Parton (we are the same-ish height!), but you can also call me Jo (or even JoJo).

I started my career as a 19-year-old television anchor (eek – the pictures exist, but let’s not share them right now!). After a detour through corporate and healthcare communications, I decided to build my own company. Today, Mud Mile Communications, the anti-agency that’s built by storysellers & storytellers, has received 100+ honors including Emmys, Tellys and W3 awards for some of the biggest brands in the world (see our office fridge – full of Coca-Cola products!).

But in sharing my story, I saw the power of possibility and putting purpose to pain. After sharing my story of being a survivor of child sexual abuse, in 2014, Jolene’s Law was established. Today, work through Jolene’s Law has trained tens of thousands of law enforcement, education, faith and community leaders to protect children and families.

And through all of it, I’m most proud to be Liberty’s mama, and share the joys (and Coke Zero addiction) with my husbuddy, Nater.

As always, I’m sharing more than I expected. So let’s talk more… and see what’s possible.

In gratitude,

Jolene
